Mossy Puddle is more than a preschool. We offer free classes and welcome volunteers of every age, because children do best when the adults around them are connected.

For parent and caregivers:

Practical child development classes on topics like sensory needs, emotional regulation, sleep, and play. Open to the public, Mossy Puddle family or not. Kids are welcome to come along.

For staff and volunteers:

Training for anyone who cares for children in our community: our teachers, our volunteers, and other caregivers who want to learn with us.

Classes start in 2027.

Share your time with little ones

We'd love to have you, especially if you're a grandparent, retiree, or anyone with a little time and a lot of patience. Volunteers read stories, help in the garden, cook with the kids, and share skills. Every volunteer completes our volunteer training and the background checks state licensing requires.

Family standards

  1. Attend at least two free family classes in your first 90 days.

  2. Volunteer with us during the year: in the classroom, at events, or behind the scenes.

  3. Keep communication open: tell us what's going on at home, and expect us to tell you what we're seeing here.

  4. Practice our values with us: self-awareness, community, and kindness.
