What are your hours of operation?
Monday through Friday, 7:30 am - 6pm. Each child may be in care / school for a maximum of 9 hours daily as per state law. Our 3 day per week program runs on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Are you licensed?
Yes, Mossy Puddle is a registered daycare provider in the state of Washington. You can find us listed on Child Care Aware. We maintain valid liability insurance, hold a current business license, and meet or exceed all state licensing standards to ensure a safe, high-quality environment for every child in our care.
What ages do you care for?
30 months to 6 years old, special cases will be considered for older children.
What is your staff-to-child ratio?
We aim for a maximum ratio of 1 adult to 5 children, which is half the state-required minimum of 1:10. This low ratio allows us to provide more individualized attention, stronger relationships, and a calmer, more responsive environment where every child feels seen and supported.
What meals and snacks are provided?
Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided. Sample menus are available and have been designed to be seasonal, nutritious and high in protein. MENUS AVAILABLE HERE
What is your policy on sick children or illness outbreaks?

How do you communicate with parents about their child's day and progress?
Progress may be tracked in the BrightWheel app.
Are parents allowed to visit during the day?
Of course, our open door policy welcomes any guardian at any time of the school day. We ask that your respect the daily rhythm/ schedule though to minimize disruptions.
Do you offer any enrichment programs?

Do you offer part-time or flexible scheduling?
Yes, rates are available HERE.
What is your policy on vacations or holidays?
Mossy Puddle will be closed for all federal holidays. There is no prorated discount for holidays and tuition is still due.
