Force of Nature Disinfectant
Force of Nature is a non-toxic, hospital-grade disinfectant made from just water, salt, and vinegar—transformed through a simple electrolyzing process into a powerful cleaner that kills 99.9% of germs, viruses, and bacteria. It’s free from harsh chemicals, synthetic fragrances, and residues, making it safe for use around young children.
We use Force of Nature daily at Mossy Puddle to clean high-touch surfaces and weekly to sanitize toys, ensuring a fresh and worry-free environment. It meets Washington State licensing requirements and is supported by EPA lab reports for safety and effectiveness.
Vaccine Requirements
As compliant with WAC 110-300-0210, Mossy Puddle requires all children to be up to date on their immunizations in accordance with Washington State law. Medical exemptions are accepted only with a signed statement from a licensed healthcare provider.
This policy helps maintain a safe and healthy environment for all, especially those who rely on community immunity to stay protected. Thank you for helping us keep Mossy Puddle a safe, welcoming place for every child!
Cleanliness Policy
To keep everyone healthy and safe, Mossy Puddle follows a regular cleaning routine throughout each day. Tables are wiped down before and after every meal and snack. Preschool nap mats are sanitized each day, and families are asked to take home their child’s fitted sheet, blanket, and pillow at the end of the week for washing. These simple routines help us keep the space fresh, clean, and comfortable for everyone.
Tooth Brushing
As part of our daily routine and in alignment with WAC 110-300, children brush their teeth after lunch each day. Tooth brushing helps support healthy habits and good oral hygiene. Each child has their own labeled toothbrush, which is stored safely and sanitized according to state guidelines. Staff supervise and assist as needed to ensure the process is gentle, sanitary, and age-appropriate.
Handwashing Policy
At Mossy Puddle, we prioritize hygiene as part of our daily rhythm to help keep everyone healthy. Parents are expected to assist their child with handwashing at drop-off to ensure a smooth and sanitary transition into care. Throughout the day, children wash their hands before meals, after outdoor play, after using the restroom, and any other time it is needed.
Our staff models and supports thorough handwashing habits, using warm water and soap for at least 20 seconds. By working together, we help maintain a clean and healthy environment for all children in our care.
