Required Texts and Curriculum Used

We will be using the Pandia Press Ancient History cycle as the academic spine for the co-op. The curriculum will run at three levels so families can engage at an age-appropriate depth while still exploring the same historical period together.

Families with students in upper elementary and older should review the required texts list. These books will support the reading and preparation expected at home before co-op meetings.

  • The History of the World by JM Roberts & O.A. Westad

  • The Kingfisher History Encyclopedia

    Pandia Press History Odyssey Ancients

  • Pandia Press History Quest Study Guide Ancients

What we offer:

Mossy Puddle Homeschool Co-op offers a structured, secular weekly gathering designed to support both academic growth and meaningful community. Our mornings begin with shared forest play to ground children in movement and connection. From there, students break into small, age-based groups for focused academic time that aligns with carefully chosen curriculum and thoughtful discussion. Younger students engage through story, hands-on exploration, and guided projects, while older students participate in deeper symposium-style learning. We close our time together with cooperative games, crafts, and shared lunch, creating space for friendships to form naturally. The goal is to support families who want structure without losing the joy of learning.

What we require:

Because this is a cooperative model, families are active participants in the community. Parents are expected to support learning at home during the week and come prepared for co-op days. Adults remain on site and contribute to the functioning of the group through volunteer roles, preparation, and shared responsibility. Consistent attendance matters, as relationships and academic progress depend on it. Families agree to uphold our code of conduct, support a respectful and inclusive environment, and communicate openly. Enrollment is semester-based, and tuition and fees are due according to the published schedule.

Transparent Pricing

The fees listed below help cover several essential costs required to operate the program. These include fixed expenses such as our required insurance policy, permitting fees, and a modest budget for instructional support, which together total several thousand dollars each semester. These costs are shared across the group through the program fees so that they can be distributed as evenly as possible among participants.

Additionally, state parks assess a per-person, per-day use fee for groups that operate in the parks on an ongoing basis.

Semester Fee

$350 / Family

Early Bird

$300 / Family (Split into two $150 payments)

State Park Fees
