Coming Spring 2026
Mossy Puddle Co-Op
What to Expect
The Mossy Puddle Homeschool Co-op is a weekly, outdoor learning community for homeschooling families who want consistent connection, meaningful instruction, and plenty of time for children to play and grow together.
❋ Thursdays 2pm- 4pm, Illahee State Park
Located along the shores of Bremerton, this weekly co-op meets for two hours of shared learning, connection, and outdoor play.
❋ All Ages (infant-teen)
Parents remain on site at all times and are an active part of the community. This is not a drop-off program. The co-op is relationship-centered, and rooted in shared responsibility and care.
❋ History and Geography Covered
The co-op includes weekly instruction in history and geography, presented through storytelling, maps, discussion, and hands-on work. Optional take-home work is provided for families who wish to extend learning at home.
❋ Sliding Scale, Transparent Fees
The co-op operates on a sliding scale fee model to support accessibility while covering shared costs. Fees go toward materials, legally required insurance, and instructional leadership.
❋ Community & Respect
A welcoming, inclusive community for families of all backgrounds. Our programming is secular, and we respect each person’s name and pronouns.
❋ First Month Included
New families are welcomed with their first month included, offering space to experience the co-op, build connection, and determine if it feels like the right fit.
❋ Lending Library
Mossy Puddle offers a small lending library for co-op families, with resources available across subjects and primarily centered on the elementary years. Materials are shared as a community resource and may be borrowed to support learning at home.
❋ Monthly Office Hours
As part of the co-op, families are invited to monthly office hours with Jana for collaborative troubleshooting, support, and thoughtful guidance tailored to their homeschool journey.

History & Geography • Spring 2026
Learning takes place through shared instruction in a multi-age class, bringing together students across age levels. To ensure learning continues effectively at home, we provide families with a choice of four distinct, age-specific levels of optional take-home assignments every week. These materials are purely for enrichment and personalized practice; they are low-pressure and do not need to be returned for assessment.
Inclusive. Secular. Welcoming.
Mossy Puddle is an inclusive, secular community. We welcome families of all backgrounds, belief systems and identities and expect all participants to engage with one another with respect and care. Discrimination, harassment, or exclusion of any kind is not tolerated. By enrolling, families agree to uphold these values and support a safe, welcoming environment for all.
