Free Coffee and Espresso
Mornings can be hectic, so we make it easy to grab a fresh cup of coffee or espresso—on us! If you're in a rush, we often start a fresh pot ahead of time so you can pour and go. Parents are also welcome to use our in-house espresso maker or pour-over coffee mug, with a variety of creams and sweeteners to make it just right. Prefer tea? We’re happy to provide a selection upon request. It’s our way of saying thank you and making your day a little smoother!
Breakfast for All—Parents Welcome!
A nutritious breakfast is provided daily for all students to start the day off right. Parents are welcome to join occasionally for free or opt into a regular breakfast schedule for a small food fee. Check out our menus to see the wholesome, seasonal meals we serve!
Fresh Sourdough
At Mossy Puddle, sourdough is our bread of choice—naturally fermented, nutrient-rich, and easier to digest than conventional bread. Its slow fermentation process enhances gut health, breaks down gluten, and delivers a depth of flavor store-bought bread just can’t match. Best of all? It’s delicious—crusty on the outside, soft on the inside, and perfect with a little butter. Occasionally, we send fresh loaves home with students—because good food is meant to be shared!
The Warmth of Waldorf
In Waldorf education, warmth is essential for a child’s well-being, supporting both comfort and a sense of security. Keeping little feet warm helps children stay regulated, fostering deeper engagement in play and learning. To ensure both warmth and safety, we provide indoor Bombas slippers—helping children feel cozy and grounded as they move through their day.
Meaningful Gifts
Each child at Mossy Puddle receives two special gifts a year—a small, high-quality birthday gift and a thoughtful winter gift. These carefully chosen treasures serve as physical reminders of the love, care, and warmth they experience here. Meant to be cherished, these gifts help children carry the feeling of belonging and security with them, even when they’re away.
