Jana Jones, Owner

“Success is loving life and daring to live it.”

Maya Angelou

Jana is an educator, preschool owner, and homeschool consultant who blends analytical expertise with a passion for child-centered learning. She holds a B.S. in Computational Mathematics and previously worked as a Senior Corporate Analyst before recognizing that neither she nor her family was thriving in the corporate world. This realization led her to pursue education full time, where she founded a nature-based preschool and developed extensive experience guiding families through homeschooling. With four years of homeschooling a gifted child, she has cultivated a deep knowledge of secular curriculum options and how they can support neurodiverse learners.

Beyond her professional work, Jana has over sixteen years of experience camping with children and solo, and has recently expanded into backpacking. She has also been sewing for more than fourteen years on her Nana’s Bernina, with quilting as a favorite medium for creativity and connection to heritage.

Through every endeavor—whether building Mossy Puddle, consulting with families, exploring the outdoors, or crafting quilts—Jana brings curiosity, dedication, and joy.
